Maine Law welcomes the Class of 2026

Maine Law’s Class of 2026 is a cross-section of both the country and the State of Maine. With students from 24 different states, three countries outside of the U.S, age representation that ranges from 20 – 56, and a student body comprised of 19% first generation college students, the incoming class brings with it a wealth of experiences and richly diverse backgrounds.

This incoming cohort will be the first Maine Law class to spend their entire law school career in the new 300 Fore Street location. Maine Law President and Dean Leigh Saufley welcomed the class, highlighting the gravity of their decision to pursue legal careers.

“Your reputation as a lawyer began as soon as you set foot in this beautiful new building,” Saufley said. “Lawyers are critical in the world today and I want you to know your decision to come to Maine Law is very much valued within the UMaine System and by the State of Maine’s government.”
