Attending law school is a significant financial investment in your future. Maine Law’s reasonable tuition, represents one of the best law school values in the country, whether you are a resident or a non-resident of Maine. Even so, understanding the costs associated with a legal education and learning about financial options is critical.
Most students do not have immediate access to the resources to pay for their law school education. Financial aid, in the form of scholarships, grants, employment, fellowships, and federal and private loans – or some combination thereof – will likely be an integral component of your funding strategy.
Individual Budget Counseling
We want you to make informed choices about financing your legal education. Nicole Vinal, Assistant Dean for Finance and Administration at the Law School, offers individual budget counseling sessions with current and prospective students. The Office of Admissions is also available to answer any questions you may have.
Financial Literacy
Maine Law works closely with AccessLex Institute in a shared commitment to inform students of the economic realities of law school. You can begin by visiting the AccessLex website. As a student at Maine Law, we will continue to support you in partnership with AccessLex Institute. Please feel free to contact the Office of Admissions for more information.
