The University of Maine School of Law has a broad curriculum with courses available in a wide range of areas. The Information Privacy Track for LL.M. students is designed to prepare students for careers in the fast-growing fields of information privacy and cybersecurity. Maine Law is one of the few law schools that offer this cutting-edge specialization to LL.M. students and has a strong connection with the world’s largest privacy organization – the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

LL.M. students who complete the Information Privacy Track have access to the following:

  • Sponsorship to IAPP events;
  • A path to IAPP training and certification, which requires completion of a separate certification exam at one of over 800 testing centers worldwide; and
  • Connections to a network of Maine Law alumni and privacy professionals with positions in multinational companies, leading law firms, government agencies, and more.

The Information Privacy Track is open to current LL.M. students through completion of the Certificate in Information Privacy Law. Prospective LL.M. students are encouraged to contact Admissions for more information on pursuing the Certificate in Information Privacy Law as part of their program.
