As a first generation college student, Reginald Parson encountered a number of challenges in his path from undergraduate to obtaining his J.D. With the support of the Maine Law community, he said, he was able to overcome these hurdles and thrive. He now holds a leadership position with the Maine State Government, a role he said he never envisioned for himself but is honored to fill.

The way a law degree molded my brain helps me to be analytical. You’re always trying to see multiple sides of an issue. Law school helps you see past the bare bones of a situation.
