The Law Library’s Reference Collection has print guides to Canadian legal research, including:  A Practical Guide To Canadian Legal Research,  and Canadian Guide To Uniform Citation.  In addition, the Law Library maintains an extensive LibGuide on Canadian resources.

If you are interested in reading more about Canadian legal research, we recommend  Doing Legal Research In Canada or the  Canadian Legal Research and Writing Guide (formerly the Best Guide To Canadian Legal Research). The most comprehensive online resource for Canadian primary material can be found at the Canadian Legal Information Institute (CanLII), a non-profit organization managed by the Federation of Law Societies of Canada. CanLII’s goal is to make Canadian law accessible for free on the Internet. Its website provides access to court judgments, tribunal decisions, statutes and regulations from all Canadian jurisdictions.
