Maine Law’s alumni serve as leaders in law, government, private industry, civic affairs and education. Alumni remain close to the Law School, and students have the opportunity to interact informally with them in many ways. The alumni network routinely helps many students find meaningful internships and clerkship opportunities. In addition, the Alumni Association runs an alumni-student mentor program which pairs interested students with alumni who have similar practice interests.
The alumni profile is diverse, with graduates living in 42 states and around the world. Graduates in and outside Maine have proven to be a wonderful resource for students. They have helped arrange interviews and referrals, and some have even housed visiting students.
Alumni participation in our annual fundraising effort is among the highest of any public law school in the United States. The Association supports a number of scholarships, summer public interest fellowships, and a wide variety of projects that enrich the Law School.
The Office of Advancement and External Affairs coordinates the Annual Fund effort and also provides alumni with information about Maine Law and their classmates.
