Requests
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service provides access to materials that are not available from the nearly 100 libraries participating in the Maine collaborative library system called MaineCat. ILL is available to University of Maine School of Law faculty, students, staff and attorneys in New England by submitting a request form.
Interlibrary Loan may take a 2
4 weeks depending upon the nature of the material and the location of the lending library. Please plan accordingly.

Fees
Law students, faculty, and staff: No fees charged by Garbrecht Law Library. We cover up to $15 of fees charged by the lending library. Fees over $15 must be paid by the borrower.

Delivery/Pick up
Law School faculty and staff: Materials will be placed in your Law School mailbox.
Law School students: You will be notified by email. Materials may be picked up at the Circulation Desk.
Attorney Service: Arrangements must be made with the Interlibrary Loan Office, please call 207.780.4818.

Requesting Materials held at other Maine Libraries
When requesting material held by another library in the University of Maine System, use the Request hyperlink located near the top of the item page in URSUS, the electronic catalog. To request materials listed in MaineCat, select the Request This Item hyperlink (usually mid-page).
Use Interlibrary Loan only for materials not available through LibrarySearch or MaineCat.
