Portland cocktail party draws roughly 120 Maine Law alums

Nov. 15, 2013

About 120 alumni, students and faculty of the University of Maine School of Law attended a cocktail party on Nov. 14 at Sonny’s in Portland. The annual event is a tradition, and it is usually held just in advance of the holiday season.

“We were thrilled by the turnout this year,” said Mary Roy, Maine Law’s assistant director of advancement and development.

“Sonny’s was a great venue, and the atmosphere was very festive. It was terrific to see some of our most recent alumni mingling with earlier graduates,” Roy said. “It’s an event where people can catch up on old connections, and hopefully make new ones. Another fun aspect of the party is that students have an opportunity to meet alums, to network and to get a sense of the larger Maine Law community here in the Portland area.”
