Students will gain knowledge of substantive and procedural aspects of regulatory enforcement and other contested proceedings involving information privacy and data protection, including data breach and cybersecurity.
Students will expand their skills in analyzing and thinking critically about the federal and state laws, regulations, and case law relevant to the many issues and questions that arise in the area of information privacy and data protection.
Students will acquire the practical skills and knowledge to recognize, trouble-shoot, and resolve problems through fact-finding, analysis, and counseling exercises, as well as the practical application of information privacy and data security principles, to become future leaders skilled in the identification and resolution of professional and ethical dilemmas in information privacy and data protection.
