Study Abroad or Away

The University of Maine School of Law currently offers Exchange Programs with two Canadian Law Schools, Dalhousie and the University of New Brunswick, and four European Universities: University of Buckingham, England; National University of Ireland, Galway, Ireland; Université du Maine in Le Mans, France; and Cergy-Pontoise University in Paris. Maine Law students register for and receive credit from the law school, and pay tuition at the regular law school rate. Students who have finished their first year of law school and are in good academic standing may apply for these programs.

For more information regarding our international exchange agreements, please contact Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Sherry L. Abbott, at (207)780-4345 or via email at sherry.abbott@maine.edu. Additionally, students who are interested in studying abroad through an ABA accredited program or in studying at other ABA accredited institutions must consult with the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs.
