Maine Law Review: Uniform Maine Citations

Third Edition

Michael D. Seitzinger
Charles K. Leadbetter
Nancy A. Wanderer, Editor

Originally prepared by Michael D. Seitzinger and Charles K. Leadbetter, two members of the Maine Bar, and endorsed by the Maine Supreme Judicial Court, Uniform Maine Citations, Third Edition, provides updated rules for the citation of Maine legal authorities, including judicial decisions, constitutional provisions, statutory and legislative materials, court rules, treatises, periodicals, and miscellaneous Maine authorities. It is hoped that the use of Uniform Maine Citations will help Maine practitioners prepare legal briefs and memoranda as well as contribute to the achievement of uniformity in citation by both bench and bar. As with previous editions, this Third Edition is designed to be used in conjunction with The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation and ALWD Citation Manual: A Professional System of Citation. From now on, revisions to the manual will be made on an ongoing, as-needed basis, by members of the Maine Law Review, under the direction of Nancy A. Wanderer, with input from Charles K. Leadbetter.

The most current version of Uniform Maine Citations is available on-line in PDF format. Print copies of Uniform Maine Citations may also be ordered from the Maine Law Review at a cost of $7.00 per single copy; $6.00 per copy when ordering 15 to 29 copies; and $5.50 per copy when ordering more than 29 copies.
