All students register for the next semester's courses during a five-day registration period. Maine Law hosts an informational meeting each semester to assist students in making course selections for the following semester. Additionally, the Registrar distributes a registration packet, which includes a list of course offerings, the daily course schedule, and some more detailed course descriptions. Students can also refer to the course descriptions listed online.
Students must register for courses in person with the Registrar. This allows the Registrar to maintain a list of students interested in lottery courses and to review requirements with students. Any student whose cumulative GPA at any time falls below 2.33 must have his or her future course schedule approved by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
Please note that in the University of Maine System, registration implicates the payment of bills. Failure to register during the designated period may result in an assessment of a late fee.
