The Career Services Office exists to assist students and alumni tailor their interests and aptitudes to careers in the law or law related fields. The Office publishes a variety of materials, maintains an extensive resource library, and sponsors various activities, including on-campus recruitment programs, informational sessions, panel discussions and workshops.

In addition, the Career Services Office offers students opportunities to meet and network with attorneys in the community. Mock Interview Day and Lawyer Lunches are some of the programs scheduled throughout the year. The Career Services Director and the Senior Advisor for Career & Professional Development are both former practicing attorneys who counsel students and graduates on an individual basis concerning career choices and opportunities. Students who have specific questions regarding career planning and related services at the University of Maine School of Law are encouraged to contact the Career Services Office.

CSO Services

For Current Maine Law Students

Current Maine Law students should visit for information on clerkships, fellowships, placement resources, resume writing and interviewing techniques. Current students should also visit Symplicity, an online career services management tool, for job postings, on-campus interviews, presentations and events.

For Maine Law Alumni

The Career Services Office has moved its job board to Symplicity, our career services management system. If you have not set up a Symplicity account, please email to be assigned a username and password.
