Charitable Remainder Trust

Pooled Life Income Fund
A gift made to the Foundation's pooled income fund to provide a life income for the donor or other beneficiaries, with the remainder interest to benefit the Law School Life Insurance A policy can be gifted by naming the University of Maine School of Law Foundation as the owner and beneficiary.
A bequest or gift of a residence, farm or land or the remainder interest in real property. Provisions can be made for donors to have a lifetime rights to live at their residents.
The Legacy Society was established to recognize alums and friends who intend to support the Law School by making a bequest or other form of planned or deferred gift through the University of Maine School of Law Foundation. Society will be listed in the Law School's Annual Report and honored in other personal ways.
If you have already provided for the Law School or the Law School Foundation in your will, trust or other form of deferred gift, you automatically qualify for membership. Please inform us of your intentions. Contact the Office of Advancement and External Affairs for additional information.
Note: When including the Law School in your will, please instruct your attorney to name the University Of Maine School of Law Foundation, the charitable foundation of the Law School, as the beneficiary.
