Visit Us
We welcome you to visit Maine Law this Spring at our Prospective Student Open House. Applicants and prospective students can schedule a visit by e-mailing the Admissions Office. We encourage you to arrange your visit in advance. Our hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday-Friday.
Directions
We are located on the University of Southern Maine Portland Campus, building #31 on the campus printable map.
From the South
Take the Maine Turnpike (I-95) to Exit 44, South Portland/Downtown Portland (formerly Exit 6A). Follow I-295 to Exit 6B, Forest Avenue North. At the first traffic light, turn left onto Bedford Street. Enter the USM parking garage by taking the next first left onto Surrenden Street immediately after the Alumni Skywalk.
Once you have left the parking garage, walk up the hill along Bedford St. The street takes a sharp right and becomes Brighton Avenue. Soon after, you will see a large intersection. The law school is the tower on the left.
From the North
Take the Maine Turnpike to Exit 47, Rand Road/Westbrook (formerly Exit 7B). Follow Route 25 east for 3 miles. At the intersection of Falmouth Street, Route 25 (Brighton Avenue), and Bedford Street, bear to the left on Brighton Avenue that soon intersects with Bedford Street. Enter the USM parking garage by taking the first right onto Surrenden Street immediately before the Alumni Skywalk.
From I-295, take Exit 6A onto 77 N (Forest Avenue). From the north, take a right; from the south, take a left.
At the first traffic light, take a left onto Bedford St.. The parking garage is on the left, just after the skywalk.

Parking
Parking is on the street or in the USM parking garage, located on Surrenden St., off Bedford St. (just below the skywalk). We can provide visitors with a voucher to waive garage parking fees.
Do not park in the lot next to the law school. This lot is for University staff and faculty only, and we share it with nine other academic buildings. You may be ticketed by Campus Police if you park in this lot.
